Article Review and Publication Processes

The evaluation process for articles submitted to JTADE proceeds through the following stages:

The article is reviewed by the Editor to determine whether its purpose, subject matter, content, and writing style comply with JTADE requirements. The article is approved by the Editor and sent to the Field Editor. Other articles not approved by the Editor are returned to the authors for revision and resubmission.

The Field Editor's review determines whether the article will be sent to reviewers or returned to the authors for revision.

The selection process for reviewers is based on expertise and experience in the relevant field. Reviewers are given 20 days to review an article sent to them.

If a reviewer believes that they will not be able to complete the evaluation process within the given time frame, they may request additional time from the Editor or inform the Editor that they are unable to evaluate the article for various reasons.

If a reviewer is unable to review the article within the given time frame, a reminder email is sent with an additional 10 days to complete the review process. If the reviewed articles are not returned within the additional time frame, the article may be withdrawn from them. It is then assigned to another reviewer.

If there is a disagreement between the two reviewers (one accepting the article and the other rejecting it), the field editor reviews the review reports, compares the reviewers' criticisms and perspectives, and also compares their reasons for reaching a conclusion, and then makes a decision.

If the field editor cannot reach a decision after reviewing the reviewer reports, the article is assigned to a third reviewer.

A decision on the article must be made within the first 90-120 days. Authors are then informed of the decision. Accepted papers are published in the appropriate issue of JTADE.

Author Rights in JTADE

Excluding Certain Reviewers from the Review Process

Authors have the right to request that the Editor not assign their articles to certain reviewers due to conflicts of interest or other ethical issues.

Additionally, the Editor will not send any articles to these reviewers,

● Those with whom the author(s) have previously co-authored publications,

● Those who assisted in reading the drafts of the article submitted to the author(s),

● Those who have had prior issues with the author(s),

● Those who may financially benefit from the publication of the submitted article,

● Those who work in the same institution (departments) as the author(s).

Withdrawing an Article

Authors have the right to withdraw their articles before publication. If they wish to do so, they must complete and sign the "Article Withdrawal Form" and submit it to JTADE for approval. Only articles approved by the Editorial Board may be submitted to other journals for publication.

Appealing Review Reports or Editorial Board Decisions

Authors always have the right to appeal review reports or editorial board decisions. If they wish to do so, they must provide justification for their appeal and attach the necessary documents or evidence to their application. If the editor is convinced, a new review round may be initiated.

Author Rights Regarding Published Articles

Authors may inform the Editor about the use of their works published in JTADE for other purposes.

In response to such inquiries, the Editorial Board will provide the relevant feedback.
